So our Holiday Open House was a blast on Sunday... beautiful weather, too bad we were inside all afternoon/evening... but everyone had fun and thought our tree was beautiful.. Some thought it was too perfect to be anything but fake... Too bad the leftovers are STILL in the fridge... they are getting a bit tiring... but soon they will be gone.

Samantha and Madelyn LOVE Santa, but refuse to go close to him.. They will wave from afar and that is all. I guess I did not expose them when they were babies and thus I have two kids scared to sit on his lap.. or even stand next to him.. oh well.

It has been raining for three days... today POURING rain, thus water RUSHING down the hills.. amazing how fast it can go.. Hopefully we will get a dusting of snow for Christmas. Samantha wants to play more in it.

Madelyn has decided she needs to "hold" the presents that are under the tree... preferably the ones that are "MINE". That new word in her vocabulary is getting old fast.. but most of the time she is a pretty good sharer.

We will visit my Aunt and Uncle Sunday and Jeffrey's parents will be here just after the new year barring good weather. Jeffrey will travel to a conference the weekend before his classes start so we will experience life alone for 3 days... Maddie starts a new class without Mom on Jan. 6th so Samantha will stay with Grandma and Papa and then with Dad the next two Tuesdays until she starts pre-school on Jan 22nd. Samantha misses pre-school and is bored at home despite only staying home one day since she was done on Dec 5th. But alas I am not as entertaining and neither is going to the mall or other locations.

I can't believe we are two weeks away from 2009....I cannot believe how fast the time has flown.

More later!
love,
angela
